You may have done everything right, but in today's housing market, it's
becoming more common for responsible homeowners to find themselves with an
affordable mortgage.
If you or someone you know is facing foreclosure and doesn't know what to
do, know that there are better options and very strong reasons to pursue
them. Through the new Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternatives Program, or
HAFA, you may be eligible for a $3,000 incentive to avoid foreclosure by
pursuing a short sale or deed-in-lieu, two dignified foreclosure
alternatives.
Adams & Associates, P.A. processes short sales with the purpose of helping
homeowners who are struggling with their mortgage payments and provide
them with the information, guidance, and actual work that is required to
allow the sale of the property.

contains the checklist of documents required to start the process along
with some additional documentation that will help you getting the package
together for submission. Once you have the necessary documents to start
the process, you can e-mail them to

Once we receive the package, we will underwrite it within 48 hours before
sending it to the Lender to make sure that the hardship is stated
correctly and that the entire file makes financial sense to the Lender’s
Investors. We will then assign your file to one of our internal processors
who will take care of submitting, processing and approving your file with
the Lender. Upon opening your file with our Short Sale Department you will
receive weekly e-mail update from your assigned processor letting you know
the week’s activity on your file.
As you may know, our service does not require any upfront fees nor is
there any charge to the Seller, Buyer or Realtors. We negotiate our fees
with the Lender and it is up to them to approve them. The entire
commission that gets approved by the Lender, will be distributed between
the Listing and Cooperating Agents. The only thing that we do require from
the parties is the use of our title company to issue the title insurance
policies at closing.
